Are the rich paying their fair share of taxes? If not, what is the correct level and why?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

No, the rich aren't paying their fair share of taxes.

When , seen carefully , people of different income groups seem to pay almost 25 to 30 Percent of their income in taxes except the rich. That being said, the tax could seem progressive on paper, but the wealthier people have a greater income level and numbers don't add up to prove that it is progressive in nature. A correct tax level should be 30% for the rich, to make it even more progressive in nature as well as quantity.
