The Birchbark house by louise erdrich:
Explain the relationship between Omakayas and Nokomis in The Birchbark House: how are these two charactersrelated, what talent or special affinity do they share (think of the “bundles”), and how/why is this bond important to the story?
Omkayas and Nokomis are actually granddaughter and grandmothers respectively and the two charactersare quite important in the context of the story as they share a special affinity as they both seem interested in learning about the voices of the spirits and at the scene of the bundles, they both find something strange where they felt that thebundles spoke to them. Their bonding is quite important as the entire plot tends to revolve around them where it was initially Nomokis who inspires Omkayas and later part, she even tells a story how entire world existed which had a lot of influence on the plot and takes it further.
