In world capitalist economy, Africa was used as a colony which was exploited in each aspect. It was used to extract raw materials,investment of surplus, market and other exploitative programmes. With the era of new imperialism in late 19th and 20th century, imperialists use Africa as a source to exploit and to gain power. This was also used to gain the legitimacy.

Imperialist use Africa for their own narrow purposes under the name of colonising them.
