A class action lawsuits is filed when several consumers who have been victimized by similar fraudulent business tactics come together to hold the offending company liable. It is specially created to help consumer recover the financial damages sustained by the fraudulent tactics of the company .

The reasons why business lobbies seek to limit class action lawsuits are: Many victims of consumer fraud either have not suffered a wrongdoing or substantial enough to file an individual claim can joined together with others to file a case .This type of lawsuit give more leverage to one group of consumers stating how the same company use fraudulent tactics to cause harm and damages. Also compensations are huge which includes damage for personal injury, economic loss and litigation charges they also are very damaging for the reputation of the company.
