Discuss the differences between givers, takers, and makers. Why do givers build better networks and influence more people? I (your instructor) will argue that givers (in Grant's view) are acting economically in a self-interested way. Do you agree or disagree and why? Discuss
Givers are acting economically in a self-interested way because making better networks will help "givers" an edge over their competitors when in the market. This would mean that if they need any external help, they could get that at a cheaper price(both monetary and non-monetary) and this will make their production process more efficient.
Influencing more people would mean expanding their reputation even among the business community, along with the consumers market, which will definitely help them increase their profit levels, and at the same time manage to have a larger share of market.
