People to western forms of thought and behavior through the device of development are linked with Networks of power sites. Development appeals to western enlightenment's finest ideals and aspiration of poor people for a better life.
Sustainability is brought to the question of development. As there must not be only economic and social activities but also those activities which are related to the population, use of natural resources and the consequent impact of the environment.

The cycle of non-western countries imitating to western countries is called Westernization. By this cycle, culture falls under or embrace the western culture. There is a wider connotation to modernization on the other hand. Westernization is a subprocess of modernization in reality. Modernization embraces or follows a modern style or ways and concepts of thought, living, etc. A transition or change that provides a promise to retain the past is called Modernization. Westernization has significance because we require to upgrade to compete with others.
Forfeiting of dogma and introduction of practices consistent with the traditional wisdom is Modernization.
