Singapore maintains a heavily trade - dependent economy. The government of Singapore ( GOS) strongly committed to maintain a free market but it takes a leadership role in actively plannings.It uses ( GLC) government linked corporations.GLC accounts for Singapore 13.7% of total capitalization of Singapore stock exchange .

Also under Singapore law,articles of incorporation includes shareholding limits that restricts foreign ownership in local corporations in the field of Telecommunication ,financial services,legal and aviation,and media the monetary authority log Singapore regulates all banking services and differences between local and foreign banks.The GOS maintains close engagement with investors through economic development board hence all this accounts for not entering and competing in Singapore stock exchange
