Diffentiation between small scale businesses and multinational corporations can be done in terms of scale of business. Small scale business usually operates in a small geographic area. It can be a small town, or city or state. However, MNC operates inside and beyond the geographical boundaries of a country.

Small scale organisations usually help in decreasing the rate of unemployment in an economy by providing various employment opportunities to the people of the area in which it is operating.
