Direct investment are different then indirect investment.In direct investment, investors own asset himself while indirect investment, investment is done in vehicle which pools investor money to buy or sell asset.

So both are different.

Investment can be done in stock, bonds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, Certificate of deposit, options etc.

Stock investment is very simple and well known.in stock investment investors think about rising up of prices.

Bonds have lower rate of investment.mutual funds very with market . certificate of deposit is also one of the major investment type.
