What is supranationalism?

Supranationalism is when different countries come together to form a union or alliance which have it's own political power and it's policies are implemented to all the member nations. There can be many reason for the formation of such union. Like political reasons, economic reasons, military reasons, cultural reasons.

Various such unions are like European Union (EU), NATO, United Nations and many more.

Among all, European Union is most successful. It have it's own parliament, own currency, it have it's own flag and citizens of one country of the union can free enter into another country of the union. It closely act like a single nation.
