difference between sequential game and simultaneous game provide and acurate reference

Answer #1
  • Simultaneous games are the one in which the movement of two players is simultaneous. Players do not have known about the move of other players. On the Contrary, equential games are the one in which players are aware of the moves of players who have already adopted a strategy.
  • Simultaneous games are represented in normal form while sequential games are represented in extensive form. In sequential games, the players do not have a deep knowledge about the strategies of other players.
  • In Simultaneous they dont have the prior knowlege of the opponents but in sequential they have.
  • Simultaneous is more of a strategy game and Sequential is more of an extensive game.
  • Normal form is used to represent simultaneous games, while extensive form is used to represent sequential ones.
  • Simulatenous do not have time axis but sequential do have time axis

Consider the case when a two-player zero-sum simultaneous game is converted to a sequential game in which one player moves and then the other player moves, having observed the first player’s move. The second mover in such a game always does at least as well in any subgame-perfect equiibrium of the sequential game as in any Nash equilibrium of the simultaneous game. Is this true or false and explain why
