Answer #1

Interest rates can be reduced by two ways, one when the number of young people in the demography increases and other when the number of old people in the demographic decreases. when there are more young people in the economy they are expected to save more and due to this reason the supply of funds increases in the loanable funds market and this decreases the rate of interest for a given demand function. Similarly when there are fewer older people in the economy who are going to save less , again the supply will increase and the rate of interest will decrease

Select there is now a higher proportion of younger people in the population and younger people tend to save more

Economic logic may tell us that a country with a higher interest rate, thus a higher rate of return, should be able to attract foreign capital and that a country with a lower interest rate, thus a lower rate of return, should experience an outflow of capital. If a country is experiencing a large net capital inflow its currency is likely to appreciate, while a country experiencing a large net capital outflow would likely see its currency depreciate (assuming a...

1. If investors become LESS patient, then we would expect the nominal riskless interest rate to ["increase", "decrease"] because investors want to consume ["more", "less"]    goods and services now. If they consume ["less", "more"] goods and services now, they want to   ["save more", "save less"]   which means they demand ["more", "fewer"]       bonds. If they demand ["more", "fewer"] bonds, the price of bonds decreases and the lower bond price results in an  ["decrease", "increase"]  in interest rates. 2. If investors...
