Homework Answers

Answer #1
  1. Import export issues faced will be because of contractual obligations of trade and incoterms like CIF which is cost, insurance and freight of goods transported. Moreover government regulation, compliance and legal requirements and cultural barriers may arise causing problems in trade relation.
  2. A supply chain of wholesaler to broker to retailer to new briker to final custom duty agency to retaiker in Germany forms the super chain. Each chain element will add explicit costs and cause the final price to be higher and thus optimisation of supply chain is needed through removal of redundant intermediary.
