Do you agree, or disagree with John Maynard Keynes views that government must intervene in economy in a big way to assure high levels of employment. Explain your reasoning.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

We agree to this statement. This is because not all countries are developed or advanced. Many countries have low level of skills, large uneducated population which is left unattended by the free market economy. Most of them are forced to work under the unorganized sector, enter the parallel economy and become a part of criminal world. Those associated with agriculture continue to use subsistence agriculture, earning an income sufficient for their own consumption. Unless government helps these groups in providing required skills and jobs, there standards of life remain below average. Hence, government must intervene in economy to assure high levels of employment.
