Answer #1

The definition of self, its creation and associated concepts such as ego and personality, perhaps from the most contentious field of current psychological theory and study. Self-concept helps to evolve and adapt appropriately for everyone. Positive self-concept also strengthens a child's ability to think, problem-solve, and efficacy. For centuries, philosophers, poets, writers, and others have been pondering what constitutes the "self." Psychologists have recently tried to define and examine a number of self-constructions.

Yes, self-construction tends to be positively correlated with other desirable qualities, such as better quality of life, higher academic performance, and so on, but there is controversy about whether increasing self-esteem, self-concept, and so on would lead to improved performance, and vice versa. However, there is evidence that high self-esteem can lead to increased aggression when combined with prejudice.

The idea of self as a social planner is of great importance. Selfconcept refers to one's own being knowledge. This involves what people, through observation, reflection and input from others, come to know about themselves. It is a mental system structured consisting of a collection of a person's behaviors, beliefs, principles, range of activities, skills, out looks, thoughts, and feelings. Consistency of behavior and identity continuity are two of the self-concept's main characteristics.
