The poorest countries have failed to jump-start the higher level of growth despite the economic aids from the developed countries. Following factors contributed to low development level in these countries:

  • Civil war and corrupt practices.
  • Landlocked countries: These countries landlocked and these countries find difficult to export significantly.
  • Good governance is a problem in these countries.

The solution to the problem:

  • Good governance must be promoted through international organizations.
  • Further, the these poor countries must be given tariff-free access to the developed countries. The US extends the tariffs free access to many developing countries.
  • Military intervention must be there where politically countries are unstable.
