Why can't we get all the power we need from renewable energy sources right now?

Answer #1

There are many obstacles in obtaining energy from renewable sources. Currently, the US only obtaines around 10% of its power from renewable energy sources like wind and water. This is because obtaining obtaining energy from renewable is very costly becuase of high costs of estaablishment of plants and the transmission cost is also very high. There are not many market players in the renewable energy production sector.

Also, renewable energy cannot replace fossil fuels as the current technology is not feasible to harness renewable energy.
