What role do you think "development planning" can play in accelerating the pace of economic growth in less developed countries? Give your answer with special reference to Pakistan.

Development plan is setting small goals for the development of the country for example setting focus on agriculture for the first few years as pakistan has rich source of natural resources, and making agricultural sector stronger enough to fulfill national as well as international demand.

Then, jumping to other sectors such as industrial sector and making in strong in the second planning as industrial sector is really weak in Pakistan, several plans would be made to achieve the required, lastly jumping to the service sector and hence, systematising the whole economy slowly, this is what the purpose of development planning is.
