The duties of parties to contracts mostly depend upon the particular subject matter of the contract. It may differ from contract to contract. Some of the basic contractual duties which can be found in almost all the contracts include payment,delivery, quality of goods, etc. Besides these obligations, the parties may also bound by certain principles and obligations while making a contract. The duty of every party to a contract is to deal genuinely and truthfully with other parties.


Basically, the duties of parties to contracts are, parties need to perform their respective promises as mentioned in the contract. If any of the parties to the contract fails to carry out their contractual duties, then this will lead to breach of the contract.
