Law of diminishing marginal utility states that as much as the quantity of goods consumed ,the marginal utility of the goods leads to decreases.

Exception / items do not follow law of diminishing marginal utility -

the law will not be applicable on habitual goods like alcohol etc.its not applicable on durable or non durable good like gold.people want to purchase more or more quantity of goods.

This is not applicable where there is change in income because when income increases people wants to purchase more goods.People always want to follow latest dress hence this is not applicable on fashion.

This is not applicable on luxary items as well as rare collection goods.it is not applicable on unreasonable quantity.
