Would you prefer to invest in foreign assets, rather than U.S. assets?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

I would rather like to invest in US assets rather than foreign assets. The price of assets depends on a number of macro-factors like economic growth, economic performance, inflation level, interest rate, exchange rate, etc. Therefore, my return on investment would depend on a number of factors on which I need to have in-depth knowledge to make an optimal investment decision. I understand the US market well and keep track of various macroeconomic factors on regular basis. Therefore, I can make a well-informed investment decision in the US market rather than in foreign markets. Therefore, I would not like to venture into assets in markets for which I do not have much knowledge of the macro-factors. Therefore, I would not like to take excessive risks and would like to invest in assets in the US market.
