According to Knapp commission, police officers who get to use their power in order to seek personal benefits and engages himself in corruption and get profit from it are called as meat eaters. According to Knapp commission, police officers who don't engage in corruption or use their power to seek personal benefit from it are called grass eaters. Obviously, grass eaters are the ones loyal and they are indeed more ethical as they don't use their power for personal benefit and such people earn a lot of respect in the society all in all.
