1. I think in some cases robots will undercut humans in the labor market while rendering them totally unnecessary and can be effectively rendered retired. Take an example that by 2040 there will be 75% unemployed drivers owing to 75% driverless traffic. Thus there will be immense displacement of jobs in the transportation industry. However, take an example of other fields; with the arrival of ATM machines a portion of work was automated. Here in this case bank tellers didn’t go away but their jobs were fundamentally changed. Thus here in this case people won’t be losing their jobs.
