Answer #1

The description says that Stella wanted to benefit her 2 hours parking permit amount by going on a shopping to a nearby town by walk. This case illustrates that she is more concerned on the amount she spared at parking. Based on the decision making pitfalls there need to be reason for why a particular decision is being made. There are 5 decision making pitfalls. They are,

  1. Lack of clear guidance: This is the basic step for decision making. It may be the person itself or a second guide to provide basic knowledge how how a matured decision has o be made. If leaders don't set parameters early on the way for uncertainity to develop worsens
  2. Unclear purpose: This is the most uncertain phase. Not knowing why a particular decision is being made is one of the worse part of decision making. The reason behind why a particular task is being done has to be the biggest aspect of doing it.
  3. Defining the meeting: Knowing that the current task is handled well and is off from it is not the final part of any meeting . The next do's of the meeting has to be taken care of and priority to be given for.
  4. Lack of Autonomy: While decisions should be based upon a collective benefit for all how you go about making decision should be your own.
  5. Wrong people, wrong place: Taking decision by just relying on the irrelevant people and at irrelevant place would be one of the major disorder for decision making and almost fails.

From the above five illustrations it is clear that Stella has to rely on the major need for why she doesn't wish to get through the parking lot and leave from the place to go ahead with any other priority task. If this shopping zone lies on the priority matrix of tasks it would absolutely be her own will to take up the action.

Priority Matrix:

DO FIRST DO NEXT
DO LATER DON'T DO

Based on the above priority matrix a person is supposed to make decisions on their deeds. I shopping lies on her priority list in the first place then she could go ahead with it else she has to leave the town and go with the remaining prior proceedings.
