it is fairly common to hear or read someone stating an opinion such as this: “If I ran my business like government runs its business, i’d go broke.” While the sentiment of this statement is clear, there are a few fundamental flaws in the logic of the idea. What might some of the flaws be?

1) The difference between a government and a business is that
a government is not for profit, while a business is for profit.
The government works for the welfare of the citizens of the country.
While a business works to enhance value for its shareholders.
2) A government has to make policies keeping in mind that people will
be watching carefully what the government does. In other words, a government
has to make its policies that can help the government get re-elected while
a business has to make policies that will help the business generate a profit.
Unlike business policies, government policies are made to appease
the voters.
