Does recycling even work?

Yes, recycling works wonder fully for goods like metal and other minerals that are ferrous and non ferrous i.e. have some iron or metal in it.

For example we have an old car which doesn't work any more, we can sell it to the scrap, they will rip it apart and get all the metal form the car and send it to the processing where all the different metals used in it will be separated as per their properties and used again in making car or anything else that use the same metal.

Imaging using metals of large structures like a ship or a whole building and its material. it saves a lot of money. as these resources are limited and costly.
