1. Feminization of work refers to the process that involves changing the structure and composition of workforce in such a manner that women exceeds the proportion of men at workplace.

In canada this has been witnessed at great scale. One of the main characteristics of Canadian workforce is that it has great presence of female. Increase in women labor force has been seen while a fall in male labor force has also been reported. Other features include that most of the Canadian women workforce work in tradtional women dominating industries/occupations like nursing, teaching and other services. yet, there has been a hiked in presence of women in more professional jobs like in corporate. Women have doubled their numbers in agriculture and manufacturing industries as well. BUt the tend to work more on part time jobs than fulll time.
