should be a minimum of 100 words
Adopted in 1997, Kyoto protocol is probably the first
international agreement between countries that required the nations
to reduce greenhouse emissions in a way highlighting the growing
effects of global warming. Kyoto protocol was linked and in fact
emerged from United Nations Framework convention on climate change
(UNFCC) that was adopted in Kyoto Japan where industralized nations
vowed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to normal levels. This
Protocol came into force by 2005.
One of the feature of this protocol is that it is based on the idea
of principal of common but with varied responsibilities. Hence, it
acknowledges the contribution of different countries on climate
change according to the time and length of their development and
their future endeavours.
