Should there be a limit to the amount of time that an inmate spends in solitary confinement? If yes, what should that limit be? If not, why not?

Solitary confinement is a type of imprisonment in which a person is kept in a single cell with no real contacts. Yes, there should be a limit for solitary confinement because human beings are social animals, we need social interactions in order to stay healthy mentally. If one is acting anti social then too they can be treated through therapy but making someone stay in solitary confinement for prolonged period of time will possibly worsen one's situation and make him/her more antisocial, and even a bigger threat to society.
