As modern technology is introduced more and more in agriculture the demand for oil in agricultural work has also increased.The connection between oil and food(agriculture) is increasing day by day.The modern day agriculture use machinary which uses oil also oil is used in many agricultural inputs.So an icrease in price of oil which is more of like an input in modern agriculture puts an upward pressure on price of food because it increases agricultural costs.

Therefore the conclusion is that the increase in price of oil increases agricultural costs and price of food.
