What distinguishes secondary from primary data? How can they work together?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Primary data is the raw data . It needs to be processed and it comes straight from the source of data. Without processing this data cannot be used and it is the first hand data.

On the other hand , the secondary data is the data which has already been prepared. This data is used for various analysis and it can be taken from the primary data.

They can work together as the information can be derived from the main source in the form of primary data , it can be then classified , sorted for the meaning information . Then it can be used by the analysts to figure out the various kind of meaningful information . This will be called the secondary data. Hence both can be together useful.
