Federal penalties for commiting an armed bank robbery are:
If one finds guilty of commiting an armed bank robbery, a fine of $250000 and an imprisonment upto two years may be sentenced or both fine and imprisonment.


Penalties for robbing Bank are given under Indian Penal Code which states a punishment with rigorous imprisonment which may extent to 10 years and liable for fine as well. But the punishment for federal theft crimes carries a maximum sentence of 15 years.
