what is THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INEQUALITY AND POVERTY ON THE ONE HAND, AND ECOSYSTEMS ON THE OTHER (essay form)
When there is inequality, there is poverty. For example let us take the example of India. India followed a caste system in which people were divided into various castes. The lower castes called "shudhra" was treated as untouchables and were not given even the basics rights such as right to education, right to use public resources etc. This inequality curbed them from growing and the castes fell deep down into poverty. Whereas, the upper caste, the ''brahmins" were given all privileges and are one of the richest classes of India.
Also, as the poor people neither had enough funds to invest in their surroundings, nor the other cared about them, they had severely bad living conditions and extremely deteriorated ecosystem. Usually their ecosystem are dirty slums and just the opposite holds for the upper caste.
