For those of you advocating for allowing municipalities to set their own minimum wages, what do you think the unintended consequences might be on some employers? Are some employers disproportionately harmed, and are we okay with that result as simply a cost of doing business? Also, what role does our capitalistic society have to play in balancing what a minimum wage should be? Do we really need regulations or can we let the markets sort it out?
Role of Capitalist society in setting up of minimum wage rate is
done according to the market value of the labour , it does not
depend how much they have worked or contribted in the society. They
will be paid according to the market value set for the
labours.
Yes, definitely amendments should be done to eradicate this wage
inequality system .This is not right and it is totally unfair
practice because the amount of hard work paid by the labour or an
employee is way too high and they are being given very less amount
of money.Because of low wages they are not able to enjoy all the
facilities and thus forcibly attain low standard of living in
life.
