Discuss the implications of the fact the services are purchased then produced and consumed simultaneously.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The implication of inseparability of services which means that services are produced and consumed at the same time and therefore the interaction between the service provider and consumer is very important and defines the amount of satisfaction gain by the consumer.

Apart from this inseparability of services is entirely different from goods which can be produced and consumed at different times and hence the feedback of consumers also plays a vital role during the production of services as in most of the time the consumer is present at the time of service production.

The training and selection of staff that are responsible for service production is also a key part of effective service delivery.

Timely appreciation of staff is also required for optimum services and consumer’s satisfaction.
