The house prices in big cities like new york increases fast sometimes because they provide employment opportunity to the masses. They are also industrialised, and are technological hub. They also provide one with the facilities like quality education and healthcare facilities. All these things attract the masses and creates a higher demand. Higher demand and lack of supply due to limited land area cause the housing price to rise.
