A) As per UNCLOS convention,waters stretching from its coastline up to 12 nautical miles is considered as territorial waters of that country. With respect to Jamaica,territorial waters is also defined by Maritime areas act.

B)Jamaica territorial water extends upto 12NM from its coastline bases.

C) With respect to territorial waters (up to 12NM), Jamaica has full powers like making laws,regulating their usage,taxation etc.

D)Jamaica or any other country can have some rights with respect to high seas. Thes rights vary with distance like up to 24NM,Jamaica can make laws related to customs, taxation, immigration, pollution etc. In Exclusive economic zone that is upto 200NM,Jamaica can have rights related to expolitation,environmental research etc.
