France has the multi-political party system and many such parties form alliances at the time of elections.

Since the Fourth Republic was adopted in France in 1947, there have been quite a number of the cabinet reshuffles and the government has been left without a seat for some months. Also even before this, in the 18th and 19th century the constitutional changes were really unstable. The same happened at the time of Third Republic.
