Answer #1

Segmentation is one of the process in marketing mix strategy that includes segmentation, targeting and positioning

Further segmentation can be classified by the companies to divide a market into four categories that are-

Demographic

Geographic

Behavioural

Psychographic

In geography companies target according to different cities countries etc like air conditioner is quite popular in South India but in North India like Jammu and Kashmir it is not

The demographic segmentation is done on the basis of race, gender, class etc

For example female and male bathing soap

In psychographic segmentation, it is done through the personality traits like achievers experiencers etc

In behavioural the buyers are divided on the basis of attitude and mindset towards the products.
