You return from spring break, and your roommate tells you that the U.S. government should take over Wegmans and other grocery stores in order to make sure that everybody has enough to eat. What kinds of effects would you expect from such a policy, and why?
Ans. Effects i would expect are
1. LOW PRICES: If government take over Wegmans and other grocery stores, it is likely that the public will get goods at a lower price than the price provided by the private stores . Hence people will be able to afford more and thre will be less poverty .
2. REDUCED POVERTY : When the stores are taken by government , the prices will be lowered to an extent which is affordable by even the minority of the country and when everybody will get enough to eat , definitely the rate of poverty will decline and nobody will die of hunger for sure .
3. INCREASED COMPETITION : Since government will take over and also sell for lower prices, then the other private stores will face a high competition as people will prefer going to the store with less prices .
