Ace Appliances, an appliance store, orders 100 toasters from Consolidated Electric (CE). The toasters CE ships to Ace, however, are not the ones Ace ordered. Hence, Ace rejects them. CE then insists that Ace return them, at the expense of Ace. Can CE make Ace return the toasters? If so, who pays the cost of returning the toasters?

The consignment of the appliances that has been shipped by CE to Ace is not the right one. So it doesn't fulfill the need of the Ace appliances store.

Ace store has all the rights to reject the shipped consignment and return it back to CE and CE has to accept the consignment back at its own cost.

In the whole process, the cost has to be borne by the CE because it is their mistake as they have delivered the wrong toasters. CE cannot impose any costs on ACE and has to pay the entire cost on its own.
