List two areas where you feel your understanding or skill in professional communication have strengthened. Is there any skill or knowledge you may have not strengthened? Why?

The two areas where I believe my skill has improved are body-language and understanding of audience. I am able to consciously control my body-language or non-verbal communication as it is called. This helps in gaining the confidence of my audience in a bigger way than the choice of my words, visuals or data. The other important thing is understanding of audience or empathy. My ability to customize the presentation according to the audience has seen a marked improvement. I have become flexible with the use of jargon as well as lay-terms to convey my message to different categories of audience.

My development area is that I am still trying to make my communications more interactive. I need to improve my listening skills. Also, I should be able to motivate the audience into asking questions. This always increases the stake of the audience in the communication process.
