Brazil became independent on 1822. Brazil took monarchical system until 1889. In 1899 brazil became republic and then it formed a government in 1889. It had many forms of government like state autonomy and centralization, authoritarianism, and democracy.

In 1891 it had a presidential system and male universal suffrage from the age of 21.

Then later in 1934 a new constitution was created which had a presidential form of constitution.

The 1946 Constitution replaced the New State’s dictatorship of Getúlio Vargas after he was overthrown by his war minister. And later in 2013  proposing to vote on amending Brazil's constitution by calling for a constitutional assembly to reform the political system.

This was the story of Brazil's political system.
