Social status is where any given individual is ranked within their particular group, whatever that group would be. Social hierarchy is where that group itself is ranked while nested within the population of all the other groups.

producer is 1st in rank of social status and heirarchy because he s the first who produces the good and then give this good to supplier who stand 2nd in rank of social status and heirarchy then supplier sell it to consumer who ranked 3rd in the social status of heirarchy.

they categorize heirarchy as in the distribution channel
