Answer:- New Deal was a program for public work project, financial reforms and regulation pass by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in United States between 1933 to 1939.The main purpose of the New Deal is provide relief and recover from The Great Depression.

Role:-

The New Deal expanded the role of United States Government by giving them more power to establish regulatory bodies and laying the foundation of social welfare system. Now the role of federal government is to regulate previously unregulated area of commerce. Those primarily being banking, agriculture and housing. And the role of federal government to create program like social security and welfare program for poor is also important, which was created with the help of New Deal.
