Answer #1

Former president slowly and gradually slowed down the privatization drive in the country of Brazil and gave more power to the labor unions in the country. Further, he took initiative to exercise more control upon the assets and framed policies that favored the workers. These developments were against the neoliberalism approach. At the same time, the former president spent money and intervened in the market to help people who were poor and living under the poverty line. Other policies such as making higher minimum wages, providing cheap housing to the people and help people get more stipend or allowances, made the country to defy the neoliberalism principles. So, his acts were against the freedom of market forces that led the neoliberalism to roll back in the country of Brazil.
