Women labor force participation rate is increasing over time because of women empowerment and increase in the job opportunities for women. Also measures for women like child care facility , maternity leave etc allows women to continue working in their offices even after child birth. This reduces female drop out rate.

Men labor force participation rate has declined because there has been an inclination towards start ups. Most of the men today prefer to be self employed and are leaving their regular jobs to start their own venture. This has led to decline in men labor force participation rate.
