Principled Negotiation is used in real business life by Northern American Academics and Mediators. Principled Negotiation focuses on avoiding and resolving conflicts. Business Negotiation is far more concerned with creating value than it is about conflicts. It doesn’t work outside of North America because for information to be shared, the foundation of trust must be in place. As compared to other countries, North America invests less effort and time in trust building.
