Answer #1

A pull system starts with a customer order which is made at a specific retailer, who then orders from a warehouse. In turn, this warehouse orders from a plant. In this sense, there is a long period for the completion to take place at a plant, then to be shipped to warehouse before reaching the retailer to finally meet the customer and hence, the demand is finally met. In contrast, in a push system, all the process of from the activity of production to the shipment, all occur in advance and in line with the expectation of the demand by consumer. Because it is made in advance, there is an accumulated shipment as inventory until customer demand happens.

Hence option A is correct.
