If you were a part of the Constitutional Convention would you have supported the Great Compromise? Why or why not?

Answer #1

The Connecticut Compromise was an agreement that all states reached during the Constitutional Convention of 1787 that in part defined the legislative structure and representation that each state would have under the United States Constitution. It had the idea that the US House of Representatives would have embers based on the size of the state and that the US senate would have representatives based on equal embers regardless of the size of the state. This system actually works. Have embers in the senate regardless of the size of the state actually works as this means that smaller states don’t get dwarfed in their powers by the larger ones. Also the lower house has total embers incumbent on the size of the state and so this covers both aspects of the coin. So the deal makes sense.

It would seem that the majority of voters in Great Britain felt that the powers that be in Brussels (headquarters to the EU) were not doing a good job in enacting laws or regulations that served the best interests of all, or alternatively that such laws and regulations subordinated Great Britain's interests to the interests of the other members. That's why they voted in favor of Brexit. What do you think the fallout from this will be? Will more countries...
